Getting started

Janela do terminal
agentop

Bare agentop opens the cockpit: a full-screen app in the terminal that leaves nothing in your scrollback. Change tabs with ← / →, panes with tab, and the footer always names the keys that work where the focus is.

On the Services tab, select agentistics and start it. Or, straight from the terminal:

Janela do terminal
agentop server # in the foreground
agentop server --bg # in the background, logging to ~/.agentistics

The server uses two ports:

Port What it serves
47292 the web interface (the one you open)
47291 the API and the MCP

If the port is taken, agentop server --port 4000 puts the API on 4000 and the web on 4001.

Open http://localhost:47292 in your browser.

The first time, agentistics asks what to do about history. Claude Code deletes transcripts older than cleanupPeriodDays (30 days by default) every time it starts:

Mode What it keeps
consolidate (recommended) one small JSON of metrics per session; survives the cleanup without duplicating chat
full also mirrors the transcripts, chat included; grows without bound
off nothing beyond what is already in ~/.claude

From the terminal, a background session already filed under a task:

Janela do terminal
agentop session claude -p "review the README" --bg --task "docs"
agentop session ls

The harnesses agentop session can start are claude, codex, gemini, antigravity, kimi and copilot. To step into the session and to stop it:

Janela do terminal
agentop session attach <id|name>
agentop session kill <id|name>

You can also start a session from the cockpit’s Sessions tab (key a) or from the sessions screen of the web interface.

Open Agentask in the web interface’s menu. The docs task shows up with the sessions filed under it and their summed cost. From the terminal:

Janela do terminal
agentop task
Janela do terminal
agentop autostart server enable
agentop autostart status

On Linux and WSL this creates a systemd user service; on macOS, a launchd agent.
